Alfie Boe: On the Wheels of a Dream

Alfie Boe: On the Wheels of a Dream is an intimate look at Britain s most beloved tenor as he tries to cross over from the world of opera and musical theatre to mainstream music and rock and roll.

The filmmakers traveled with Alfie and his band during his 2012 US tour; filming his various concerts and book signings, while conducting candid and insightful interviews with Alfie, his family, his management and his loyal fans. Part biography, part concert film, the documentary is a rare and intimate look into what drives Alfie Boe as an artist and as a person, and his passion to connect with his audiences around the world through his love of music.

It is also about his attempt to break into the US market and to break free of certain stereotypes of himself as a performer and of the music industry in general. As Alfie has said in the past β€”"There are only two kinds of music, good music and bad music. I only want to sing the good stuff.β€”β€œ

Alfie Boe is probably best known for his internationally acclaimed performance as Jean Valjean in the 2010 Les Miserable 25th Anniversary performance at the O2 Arena in London.
